***Construction Update*** Environmental Protection Industries and its contractors have completed the majority of the utility relocation work associated with the Pete’s Fresh Market redevelopment. The remainder of the work is dependent on other site developments and will be completed as those items are completed. We will still be on site over the next few weeks performing right-of-way restoration around the site. It has been decided that the cul-de-sac north of the property on Euclid will be installed in late spring or early summer of this year. Thank you for your continued cooperation during this construction process. Should you have any questions, please email the EPI team at oakpark@environmental-epi.com.
***Construction Update*** Environmental Protection Industries and its contractors will begin storm sewer work on Wesley Avenue tomorrow, Thursday February 23. The work will take approximately one week to complete and will be located directly east of our site (between Madison St and the alley to the north). For the next week from the hours of 7am to 3pm, parking will not be permitted in this location and north bound traffic will be closed. South bound traffic (towards Madison Street) will remain open. The valve on Euclid, north of Washington, has been installed. Tomorrow, Thursday February 23, the area will be patched with concrete. Traffic control in this area will be removed by the end of the week. Next week, we will connect the newly installed watermain to the existing watermain on Euclid just north of our site. This work will involve a shut off of water service for approximately 6 hours on Tuesday February 28th for all residents of the 400 block of south Euclid and a few other adjacent addresses. Affected residents should have received a notice in the mail. Blue notices will be placed on the exterior door handles of affected residents with further details on Friday. The shut off will occur between the hours of 9am-3pm. On Thursday we anticipate performing the second water main connection. This will occur on Madison Street. Traffic is not anticipated to be impacted however there will be slight parking and bike lane impacts on the north side of the street. Resident water supply will not be affected. Thank you for your continued cooperation during this construction process. Should you have any questions, please email the EPI team at oakpark@environmental-epi.com.
***Construction Update*** Environmental protection industries and its contractors have almost completed the installation of the combined sewer on Euclid. There is one more small manhole that needs to be installed and then the existing sewer can be demolished and backfilled. This is projected to be completed by the end of next week. Once the combined sewer is installed and the old one is demoed, we can remove the majority of the traffic control on Madison. There will be a small area where the bike path and parking lane will be affected, but all traffic should be able to return to normal for the most part. The watermain will begin in the next few weeks. The first thing we will be doing is installing a new valve vault on Euclid just north of Washington. This will not impact residents’ water but parking will be restricted during the time of installation. Through traffic, except for emergency vehicles, will also not be permitted on the 300 block of Euclid during the time installation. No Parking signs, provided by the Village, will be placed in the affected locations a minimum of 24 hours prior to the restriction. The installation will take approximately 1 week. Nicor will begin their work in the east/west alley north of Madison and west of Euclid on Thursday. Service will not be affected. The alley will still be accessible off of Oak Park Ave. Thank you for your continued cooperation during this construction process. Should you have any questions, please email the EPI team at oakpark@environmental-epi.com
