A partial list of the field inspection and laboratory services offered by EPI includes the following:

  • Asphalt & Concrete (coring & thickness tests)
  • Atterberg Limits
  • Concrete Cylinders (slump, air content, & temperature tests)
  • Corrective Action
  • Dry Soil Density
  • Moisture Content
  • Mortar sampling & testing
  • Particle Size Analysis
  • Relative Density Testing
  • Soil Bearing Capacity Inspections
  • Soil Classification
  • Soil Consolidation Tests
  • Soil Density/Compaction
  • Soil Permeability
  • Soil Proctor Testing (Standard/Modified)
  • Soil Vane Shear Testing
  • Triaxial Testing
  • Unconfined Compression

EPI is committed to providing timely, reliable and cost-effective construction materials testing and inspection services. EPI goes beyond the “testing” and “inspection” process by providing engineering support for technical questions that may arise during construction. This added support assists in maintaining control of cost and quality of construction.

Construction materials quality control inspection and testing are performed by experienced, certified technicians. Our staff is trained and equipped with the latest instrumentation for testing.

EPI’s construction materials testing laboratory is equipped to perform the required analysis in strict accordance with the most current American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM) standards.
