John Best
Manager of Assessments
Mr. Best has over 13 years of experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Subsurface Investigations, asbestos sampling, air monitoring and supervision of asbestos abatement work. He has managed and performed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments throughout the contiguous United States. He has evaluated operating industrial plants, commercial operations, vacant industrial and agricultural land, residential and condominium complexes and has supplied expert testimony in the identification and evaluation recognized environmental conditions and property impairment as part of judicial hearings and judgments.
Mr. Best also manages remediation projects in the IEPA SRP and LUST programs. He prepares UST remediation, Phase I and Phase II proposals, manages Site Investigations to further evaluate the recognized environmental conditions identified during the Phase I Assessment process. He is also responsible for preparing remediation cost estimates for quantifying potential environmental risk exposure and recommendations to mitigate areas of environmental concern for lenders, attorneys, developers and industry involved with real estate transactions and site development.
In addition, Mr. Best is responsible for supervision of asbestos abatement work and air sampling and monitoring and oversight of asbestos abatement projects
He is involved with updating and administering the EPI Health and Safety Program, the Respiratory Protection Program.
